Myself and Dr. Asante Lucy Mtenje, PhD, were invited as consultants to facilitate a team-building workshop with the teachers from St. Michael’s Girls Secondary School. The workshop was held at Kaphiridzinja Cottage in Mangochi. The school boasts a diverse team of teachers of different ages, expertise, experience, and perspectives, creating a strong synergy among them. It is these aspects that make Team St. Michael’s formidable.
Through presentations, team-building activities, and collaborative discussions, we explored the importance of teamwork, setting goals as a team, and resolving conflicts. Team St. Michael’s has set a big vision for itself in 2025. Watch this space. Thank you, St. Michael’s board, for the honor of inviting me to facilitate the workshop. One last thing – it was a proud moment to find out that the Head Teacher at St. Michael’s is my former student from Mzuzu University. There were also two other teachers who were also my students at Mzuzu University.
