Every year I become intentional about reading books outside the usual academic literature I read. My inspiration to do this came some years ago after observing President Barack Obama who usually releases his reading lists. Reading widens your horizons and perspectives. Jim Rohn says, ‘Reading is for those who want to rise above the ordinary’. Some say, ‘Those who read should lead.’
I enjoyed reading each one of them. On my whatsapp statuses and sometimes with the LinkedIn family. I would usually talk about each book after I finish reading it. Some took long to read and some were simple and did not take long to finish. This year the target was to read 30 books but i have managed 20. In the picture are the 20 books i read this year.
