It was an honor to be part of the Creative and Cultural Industry team that was invited to Sanjika Palace for an audience with President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera. This promising engagement aimed at strengthening Malawi's creative , cultural and entrepreneur sectors.
During our discussions, we highlighted the industry's growth and the significant impact on Malawi's development and emphasized the need for supportive policies to elevate our creative and cultural sector onto the global stage.
The president expressed his commitment to supporting the industry, a promising step forward as parliament simultaneously passed the “National Arts and Heritage Council bill".
I would like to Congratulate Q. Malewezi and everyone involved in this pivotal initiative which aims at boosting the arts and culture sector in the country for together we have achieved this great milestone.
